The Common Committee, composed of the political directors of the foreign ministries and the chiefs of defence staffs, is the highest command level for the Eurocorps. The Common Committee regularly meets once a year.

For co-ordination and day-to-day follow-up, the Common Committee has established the POLMIL Group, which gathers representatives of the military political level from the framework nations’ Ministries of Defence. The Army staff level is represented in the MIL Group, which relies on a broad variety of Sub-Working Groups for such domains as Communications and Information System (CIS), budget or infrastructure .

A special board, the CODI (Comité Directeur) is established on the level of the co-presidents of both main working groups in order to prepare the yearly meeting of the Common Committee and to decide on common issues if needed. Finally the EC HQ Board is the forum which enables the sending nations to participate to the multinational management of EC.

Representatives of the secretary nation - a responsibility which annually rotates among the framework nations - chair all these bodies.
