The NATO exercise Steadfast Jaguar 06 starts today

The NATO exercise "Steadfast Jaguar 06" starts officially in Cape Verde today. More than 7000 sailors,soldiers and aircrew of the NATO's Response Force "NRF" have strategically deployed to the islands. It is the largest exercise deployment of the NRF to date with Eurocorps providing the Land Component Command. NATO took important precautions to protect the environment. The NRF logo in the picture  was drawn in the sand near the ocean by a Hungarian soldier artist from an NRF water-purification unit.
