Commendation Ceremony and Christmas lunch.

Strasbourg (France), 12th December 2006.

During one of the first cold days of this winter, the Eurocorps met in a short but official ceremony. Lieutenant General Charles-Henri Delcour, Commanding General Eurocorps, commended 22 personnel of the Headquarters and the Headquarters Support Battalion for an outstanding job achieved in the course of the last months. The following personnel received a personal commendation: Oberstleutnant Goettelman, Oberstleutnant Jansohn, Teniente-Coronel Molina Pineda de los Infantes, Oberstleutnant Wieser, Commandante Garcia Cervera, Major Monville, Commandant Van Uytven, Commandant Vitter, Capitaine Courtand, Hauptmann Koch, Subteniente Blanco Gutierrez, Adjudant-Chef Dandrieu, Subteniente Frances Martin, Hauptfeldwebel Kornehl, Adjudant Loos, Brigada Puente Ramon, Adjudant Van Der Cammen, Sergent-Chef Grandhaye, Sergent Fernandez, Stabsgefreiter Anders, Cabo Melero Sanchez, Soldat de 1e classe Brucker.

In the second part of the ceremony, the General and his flag officers awarded all the personnel for their participation in the preparation and the execution of the NRF 7 Land Component Command mission of which the standby period started on last 1st July and will end on next 10th January 2007. All of them received a coin commemorating this mission.

After the ceremony, everybody took part in the Christmas lunch, which is organized to celebrate together, in a strong cohesion, the approach of the celebrations of the end of the year, and Christmas in particular.
