Commander Eurocorps visits the I/VI "Saboya"

In the global frame of the preparation of the Eurocorps for the NATO Response Force, Lieutenant General Charles-Henri Delcour visited on 19th and 20th March the I/VI Spanish Infantry Regiment “Saboya”, training with the “Acorazada” Brigade in Zaragossa (Spain). Commander Eurocorps started during the second semester of 2005 to visit all his NRF7 subordinated and assigned units. They are the units which could participate in a real committment of the Land Component of the NRF7. All are specialized units, going from Latvian “Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD)” over Rumanian water purification to a multinational military geographic unit.

As of today, the Commander Eurocorps visited following exercising units :

- The 3rd Belgian Paratrooper Battalion, during the exercise “Active Lion”, In Bergen-Höhne (Germany), 28-29 September 2005.

- The French-German Brigade (FGB), in Mülheim (Germany), on 13th October 2005.

- The 295 German Artillery Battalion of the French-German Brigade in Graffenwöhr (Germany), on 6th December 2005.

- The 110 French Infantry Regiment of the French-German Brigade in La Courtine (France), on 8th December 2005.

- The 292 German Infantry Battalion of the French-German Brigade in Hammelburg (Germany), on 4th February 2006.

- The French “Etat-Major de Force 3 (EMF3)” in Marseilles (France), on 6th February 2006.

- The Combat Support and Services Battalion of the French-German Brigade in Altmarkt/Letzlingerheide (Germany), on 14th March 2006 and in Mülheim on 27th March 2006.
