On April 2nd a wreath laying ceremony was held at the Ossuary of Douaumont near Verdun (France). Flowers were laid, the eternal flame of the Unknown Soldier was rekindled and letters from French and German soldiers from the Great War were read. This ceremony was presided by Major General SOMMAIRE Philippe, Deputy Commander Eurocorps in the presence of local authorities. This ceremony concluded a two day tour of the Verdun battlefield by HQ Eurocorps members.
