NATO Secretary General visits Steadfast Jaguar.

More than 150 distinguished visitors paid a visit to the NRF Exercise "Steadfast Jaguar". NATO secretary general Jaap de Hoop Scheffer and SACEUR (US General James Jones) were accompanied by all the ambassadors to the North Atlantic Council, by Canadian General Henault, chairman of the Military Committee and the representatives to this Committee. The President of the Republic of Cape Verde was present as well, with his Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Chief of Defence. Moreover, US Gen Lance Smith (SACT [NATO Transformation]) and Tom Hobbins (Air Component Commander Ramstein) attended as well. After visiting some installations in the field (pictures 3 & 4: the Secretary General and the visitors are welcomed in the Land Component Command Forward Command Post), they all attended a demonstration of a combined joint amphibious operation (see pictures 1 & 2).
