Eurocorps celebrates the 15th anniversary of its Air Representation

Two mirages 2000 from Nancy airbase (FRA) and four F-16 from Florennes airbase (BEL) flow over the Eurocorps HQ to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Air Representation to the Eurocorps.

This anniversary ceremony presided by lieutenant general Pedro PITARCH, general commanding the Eurocorps since September 21rst. engulfed various activities (disclosure of the Air representation insigna, jump by Spanish paratroopers, fly over of fighters) for the Eurocorps members and for representatives to bodies working closely to the Air representation.

The Air Representation to the Eurocorps is since September 2007 located at Quartier Aubert de Vincelles to be physically close to the Eurocorps Headquarters staff. It is currently commanded by the Belgium colonel COLLES who took over from Spanish colonel LLANOS on September 4 according to the rotation principle between the following countries : Belgium, France, Germany and Spain.

The twenty members of the Air Representation to the Eurocorps establish links between the different Air Commands, participate in the studies, training or missions of the Eurocorps.
