The rear party have started their trip home

Sao Vicente (Cape Verde), 10th July

The NRF-camp Baia das Gatas has ceased to exist. The last tents were broken down on 7th July and the last containers left for Mindelo-harbour the same day to be shipped back to Europe. After another night under the African sky, the Eurocorps military of the rear party have started their trip home. Almost 50 of them arrived during the weekend, while some 100 more will land in Strasbourg on 11th July. Only about 25 are still left in Cape Verde to wrap up Exercise Steadfast Jaguar with the Cape Verdian authorities.
