Imposition of the red sash for Brigade General Ramirez

Thursday 22nd of May 2008, Lieutenant General Pedro Pitarch, Commanding General of the Eurocorps, executed the imposition of the red sash on Spanish Brigade General Ramirez, Deputy Chief of Staff Support.

Especially this imposition ceremony of the red sash had a big historical value as it was the first time this happened outside of Spain.

The red sash of general in the Spanish Army has a big historical importance, a traditional symbol of power which origins date back to the reign of the Catholic Kings.
