Brigadier General LOMBARD was born on August 14, 1950 in COLMAR (68).
He joins the Saint-Cyr Military Academy in 1970 - General De Gaulle class.
After graduating, he chooses the mechanized infantry and follows the courses of the Armour Centre and School in SAUMUR and the Infantry Centre and School in MONTPELLIER. From 1973 to 1977 he is assigned to the 35th Infantry Regiment in BELFORT where he is section chief and deputy company commander.
From 1977 to 1979 he is appointed to the COËTQUIDAN Military Academy as instructor at the Infantry Reserve Officer Cadets Battalion.
From 1979 to 1982 he is company commander at the 153rd Infantry Regiment in MUTZIG.
From 1982 to 1985 he is aide-de-camp to the French general, military governor of BERLIN and commander of the French sector.
From 1985 to 1988 he is staff officer at the First Army.
He enters the Command and General Staff College in September 1988 as trainee.
From 1990 to 1991 he is deputy commander of the 35th Infantry Regiment in BELFORT.
From 1991 to 1992 he is a member of the build-up preparation cell of the Eurocorps in PARIS, then in STRASBOURG.
From 1992 to 1993 he is staff officer at the Eurocorps Activation Staff.
From 1993 to 1994 he is staff officer at HQ Eurocorps.
From 1994 to 1996 he commands the 8th Light Infantry Battalion in WITTLICH, GERMANY.
From 1996 to 1998, he is section chief at the operational preparation branch of the Army Staff.
From 1998 to 2004 he is Chief G4, then Deputy Chief of Staff Support, then Chief NSD-FR of the Eurocorps.
On first September 2004 he takes over, as a general, the position of Deputy Chief of Staff Support of the Eurocorps.
Brigadier General LOMBARD is married and has 3 children.
