Common Tenacity role-plays a disaster relief mission

Strasbourg (France), 24th October 2006.

Some 50 high ranking military visitors will amongst other witness the Fact Finding Team  (FFT) training of the NRF Land Component today. The ongoing exercise Common Tenacity role-plays a disaster relief mission to manage the consequences of a tsunami. The FFT can deploy rapidly to gather information on a special zone in specific fields. They are equipped with two satellite systems: the Iridium global-coverage system, and the Thuraya system, which automatically connects itself with local GSM systems.
