
Spanish Senior National Representative
He was born in Melilla on 23 December 1954. He joined the Army as a cadet in the Military Academy in Zaragoza.
He completed his studies in the Signal Corps Academy, being promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 1975.
Assignments
As a Lieutenant he was appointed for different posts in the paratrooper Brigade.
As a Captain, he was teacher at the Signal Corps School and as a helicopter pilot in the Transport Battalion (CH47)
As a Mayor, he took the Staff college and later was assigned to MoD and the Army Staff
As a Lieutenant Colonel he was appointed to the EuroCorps Staff in Strasbourg (France) and also as COS of the Army Aviation Bde (FAMET).
As a Colonel he commanded the 1st Signal Regiment in Burgos and served as COS of CIS Army Staff Directorate.

He successfully achieved the Army Staff Diploma, the Tactical Intelligence Course, Paratrooper, Army helicopter pilot, and CIS Course.
Decorations
Brigadier General Ramirez’ awards include the Saint Hermenegildo Royal Military Order’s Great Cross, Cross, Commendation and Badge. He was also awarded five Crosses for Military Merit, the UN Medal (UNPROFOR), the UN Medal (UNAVEM), and the NATO Medals for KFOR, SFOR and ISAF.
Brigadier General Ramírez is married and has three children.
