Eurocorps hoists the European flag
Strasbourg (France), 9th May 2006.
The Day of Europe was celebrated during a ceremony that took place at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. A multinational Eurocorps detachment were the actors of the ceremony while a military band played the European anthem.
Operations
The sixth ISAF mandate was given to a European staff – HQ Eurocorps - a prototype for the European defence.
A determining, ambitious and difficult mandate, nevertheless crowned with success.
Exercises
EURETEX is EURocorps’ major Engineers Training EXercise.
In preparation for a real mission in a multinational environment, it was conducted to develop and improve the interoperability of the engineer units affiliated to HQ Eurocorps.
HQ Eurocorps Main Command Post Exercise in 2007
For three weeks some 1000 soldiers from 11 different nations were exercising in Wildflecken. The exercise, Common Tenacity 2007, was another important step in maintaining and improving Eurocorps’ capabilities as a High Readiness Headquarters, this time in its role as a Land Component Command.
