Material hand-over ceremony

Sao Vicente (Cape Verde), 26th June 2006

NRF announced today that its German Battle Group (292 Light Infantry Battalion) has turned over ten military trucks to the Cape Verde Armed Forces.  This was done in gratitude for the government of Cape Verde permitting NATO to use the islands for Exercise Steadfast Jaguar 2006.  The Cape Verde Chief of Defence, Colonel Antero Matos was on hand for the turnover ceremony.  The trucks were transferred by the German Senior National Representative NRF 7, Brigadier General Walter Spindler.
