European Satellite Centre visits Eurocorps headquarters.

The Deputy President of the European Satellite Centre (EUSC), based in Torrejon (Spain), visited the HQ Eurocorps today. Mister Tomaz Lovrencic was accompanied by his Head of Operations Adriano Baptista. Aim of their visit was to intensify the links between EUSC and Eurocorps. The delegation had an office call with Commander Eurocorps, Lieutenant General Charles-Henri Delcour, and a Eurocorps presentation briefing. Then there was the opportunity to discuss operational needs and possibilities of intensive cooperation with regards to image procurement. The swift procurement at good conditions of satellite imagery for operational and tactical purposes during commitments and exercises of Eurocorps is primordial. With its five Framework Nations (Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg and Spain), Eurocorps fulfills the conditions for a specific relationship with the EUSC. During his visit Mister Tomaz Lovrencic certainly got a better understanding of the functioning of the Eurcorps high readiness headquarters allowing an even tighter co-operation in the future.

The visit of the European Satellite Centre delegates was as such organized by Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Feigenspan, chief of the Military Geographic cell of the Eurocorps Engineer Branch.
